Norfolk County DA Michael Morrissey Visits MHS

The following post was provided by SADD Advisors Robin Lee and Karen Hughes.

Thank you all so much for your help and support in making this presentation so successful!

To follow up with DA Michael Morrissey and ADA Jennifer Rowe's message and plea, we are asking that teachers take the time to relay the importance of not texting and driving to students!

Further, we are hoping that you will all help us earn our points in our TEAM RIVAL quest to get our names etched on the plaque by having all your students take the distractology course at on the TEAM RIVAL webpage.  They will earn community service for taking the course and will be helping the Milton High chapter of SADD get to the top of the leader board!

Thank you to DA Michael Morrissey and ADA Jennifer Rowe for taking the time to visit our school and discuss distracted driving with our school community.

MHS Students Attend Women in Science Competition

The Women in Science Competition was held this past weekend at Bedford High School.  Milton High School Seniors Liezel Werner, Aislinn O’Brien, and Maxim Alvarez competed against 38 other teams, covering 21 different districts.  This was Milton’s first appearance at the competition, and the Science Department is now brainstorming ways to get even more girls involved for next year.

Below are pictures from Saturday, as well as a link with pictures from all events of the competition – the Milton girls are in there!

We are proud to announce that Nethania Marc and Katherine Steele have been selected for the 2017 All-Eastern Honors Ensemble!

The ensemble will rehearse and perform in Atlantic City, NJ at the Biennial Eastern Division Conference this coming April.  Nethania will be a member of the Orchestra, and Katie, a member of the Mixed Chorus.

Eastern Division is a component of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and includes the states of New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware.  To be selected for a division-level ensemble is a tremendous accomplishment.   Congratulations to Nethania and Katie, and their families!
