United States History I Guest Speaker

This post is from Superintendent Gormley and appeared in her February 14th E-blast:

I would like to thank Attorney Leigh Mills, a strong supporter of Milton Public Schools, who came to Milton High School recently to speak to Mr. Borde’s United States History I classes about the Bill of Rights as part of their unit on the Constitution.  Her focus was on the historical precedence behind of the Bill of Rights, and its impact on us today. Using the fifth and sixth Amendments specifically, students were able to explore the intent and meaning of each, as well as its application to current events.  Recently Ms. Mills also helped students in our Law and Government class prepare for the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Mock Trial Competition. Many thanks to Ms. Mills.
