A Celebration of Childen's Literature

The following is a post from Mrs. Mullen, Child Study Teacher:

The Child Study II seniors recently finished a collaboration in celebration of Children's Literature with Ms. Jennifer Troy, our MHS librarian “extraordinaire”. The unit was composed of an overview of Children's Literature, a discussion on the importance of teaching children early literacy skills and a mock Caldecott award vote for best illustrations in a children's book. The results of their voting will be compared to the actual Caldecott  book winners in January. The seniors will also have their children's book author studies on display in the library the weeks before Thanksgiving break.

A special thanks to Ms. Troy for her research and dedication on our behalf!
