As many of you already know, Mrs. Karen Cahill has been appointed as the new Director of Guidance. With this new appointment there were some shifts in the guidance counselor assignments. Students who were previously assigned to Mrs. Cahill and Mrs. Spinelli will now see Mrs. Spinelli. Students previously assigned to Mr. Aubert will now have Mrs. Cahill as their guidance counselor. Mrs. Cahill and Mrs. Spinelli will now be available every day.
The Guidance Department is asking seniors and their parents/guardians to pay particularly close attention to their Naviance accounts and the email accounts. Please watch closely for new alerts/reminders that have been sent to you regarding the college process! Please make sure you read them carefully! If you experience problems with your Naviance account, please contact Mrs. Cahill at or (617) 696-4470 ext. 5530. As of August 1, 2013, the new version of the college/universities Common Application became available, therefore, we are strongly encouraging seniors to start completing the common application now.
Seniors – the updated grade point averages (GPAs) will be available on Naviance by the end of August.

Jackie Morgan, Director of Food Services, is strongly encouraging all parents/guardians to prepay your child’s breakfast/lunch. Prepayment will make the lines move much faster, thus giving your child more time to eat and socialize with his/her friends. To pay online, parents/guardians must already have their 8-digit unique ID #. To make a payment to your child’s breakfast/lunch account:
· click Milton - follow the steps
· If you are new to the district and do not have an 8-digit unique ID #, please email Jackie Morgan (email@example.com) and she will provide you with your 8-digit unique ID #.
You may also pay in advance by check. Please make checks payable to Milton Food Service Program (please print your child’s first and last name in the “memo” section of the check). Checks may be deposited into the “Lunch Check Drop Box” located in the Main Office and in the cafeteria at MHS. Checks are posted daily to student accounts. We can no longer accept checks at the serving lines.
WHAT IS THE COST OF STUDENT LUNCH/BREAKFAST?
Breakfast - $1.25
Lunch - $2.25 ($2.50 for the Deli Bar and Fresh Made Salads Bar)
Students enjoyed the convenience of the Smart Start Breakfast Cart which was implemented in March 2013. We encourage students to stop by the Breakfast Café located in the entrance of the Copeland Field House. A “grab n’ go” breakfast and the company of friends in our breakfast café will be a great way to start the day. We will continue to offer a quick, easy and nutritious breakfast which will include warm muffins, whole grain breakfast bars, fruit, yogurt and milk. The traditional hot breakfast will be served in the cafeteria each day. The traditional breakfast includes Milton Egg McMuffins, French Toast, Pancakes, Yogurt Parfaits and cold cereal.
We are encouraging parents/guardians, to help your child(ren) arrive at school a few minutes early every day so they may enjoy a tasty and healthy breakfast. A healthy breakfast will help your child(ren) establish positive eating habits, improve his/her academic performance, decrease the number of visits to the school nurse, and lastly provide a positive impact on classroom behavior. Breakfast will be available at both locations (Breakfast Café and the school cafeteria) beginning at 7:15 a.m. each day. Please be sure you have your four digit pin number to access your pre-paid food service account.
