Congratulations to Milton High School’s first-ever Swim Club, which just completed its first season. Please read the following, submitted by parent Eileen Heller:
The Milton High Swim Club recently competed in a dual meet against Thayer Academy and St. George’s varsity swim teams and were able to capture a few wins.
Freshman Emma Heller took 1st place in the 200 yard freestyle and 1st place in 50 yard breaststroke. Freshman Leah Corcoran took 4th place in 50 yard butterfly, and 4th place in the 100 yard medley. Freshman Tyler Volpe Knock took 5th place in 50 yard Backstroke. Junior Matt O’Sullivan took 5th place in 50 yard freestyle.
Strong performances were given by the relay teams of Liv Jensen, Rachel Joyce, Matt O’Sullivan, and Elizabeth Murphy for their 200 yard medley relay. The 200 yard freestyle relay which included, Olivia Sidoti, Adam Potter, Rachel Joyce and Liv Jensen also did extremely well. Several of our swimmers were injured or travelling, so the full roster did not compete at the meet. It was a wonderful day with huge smiles at the pool and at our end of the season party.
The roster is: Juniors: Matt O’Sullivan and Adam Potter; Sophomores: Liv Jensen, Olivia Sidoti, Gabrielle Che, Christian Jamal; Freshmen: Rachel Joyce, Tyler Volpe Knock, Emily Dsida, Nolan Carvahlo, Elizabeth Murphy, Kristen Rundlett, and team captains: Leah Corcoran, and Emma Heller.
We are very thankful for all of your support and looking forward to continuing to build this swim team. For more information about the Swim Club, please contact Eileen Heller at firstname.lastname@example.org
