  • Students may not leave an exam early. After they complete and hand in their Mid-year exams, they may study or read quietly. They may not use an any electronic devices (no headphones out, Kindles, Ipads/tablets, Ipods, GameBoys, etc.) then or any time during the school day.
  • For students with school bus passes, the school bus will take them home at 1:40 p.m. using abbreviated bus routes that are already established and are posted on Milton High School’s webpage. The only exception is Friday, January 25th when there is only one exam; the school bus will leave Milton High at 12:15 p.m. (after Club Photos).
  • The cafeteria and the library will be open during exam times so that students who do not have an exam can have a place to study quietly.
  • Students are not permitted to linger/hang out in the hallways during the lunch period nor during exams.
  • During lunch time, students may go to the cafeteria, to the library for a quiet study or to the Field House to play basketball or watch others play (Tuesday-Thursday).

  • Students who have 2 exams on any given day are not permitted to leave the building for lunch or any other reason. We do not have an open campus, therefore, all students must remain in the building during the school day.
  • If a student does not have an exam during a particular exam period, the student does not have to be in school during that time. For example, if a student has a half-year course that meets first period and the teacher has those students take that exam on the Review day (Friday, January 18th) then the student does not need to be in school during the Mid-year Period 1 time slot.
